Does not come with remote Reads DVD and Blu-Ray. A lot of movies need a remote to play the movie. Once it’s on the main screen of movie I can’t play the movie from the buttons available to me on the system. It need a remote to play the movie, some movies will go straight to the movie and it will play without needing a remote. It also won’t display movie title/ or thumbnail for the movie. Up for sale is a Sony 400 cd blueray player. We have done some testing and have found a few things to note about this unit. It appears that this unit is starting to have the issue where sometimes a certain disc is coming up as invalid. It does not appear to be specific to any disc rather it being random. We did some research and this is usually caused by a laser which is starting to show signs of failing. The issue where it reads the disc as invalid happens rarely but we did manage to come across it. What we found through research is that every single unit will eventually develop this problem and the only solution down the road if it gets worse is a laser replacement. Looks like they are available and cost around 65$. Some service has been done to ensure the best possible performance. The belts inside have been professionally replaced, also the optical laser has been properly cleaned. Unit includes an original Sony Blu-ray player remote but it is not the (oem spec). Remote still works with all major functions! This unit has some wear and marks from usage over time.. Please inspect all pictures closely. Please let us know if you have any questions. Im selling it at a discounted price vs others on ebay due to the battery cover plate missing. Remote works absolutely fine. Just missing the battery cover. Sony BDP-CX960 in Excellent condition. Come with remote, manual, box. I dont know how many hours are on the player. Ive never had more than 100 discs in the player. Most years this player just sat in my closet as I didnt have a place for it. I set it up about 6 months ago, but decided to rip my blu-ray discs to my NAS server.Above the IR receiver is an attached external receiver that can be plugged into an IR repeater. It worked great and still allows the remote to be used directly with the player. The adhesive is pretty strong, so I didnt remove it.

Up for auction is this very nice, lightly used and refreshed Sony BDP-CX960 400 disc Bluray changer set. The unit is in very nice, lightly used condition and comes complete with the ORIGINAL remote, manual, and HDMI cable for hookup. All functions work perfectly as they should and it plays Blurays, DVDs, and CDs with ABSOLUTELY ZERO skipping or loading issues (obviously unless if your disc is scratched up or dirty...) Please view all pictures for closeups! ALL my BDP-CX960 Sony changers (including this one) have my typical refurbish service which consists of addressing all the key points these need to keep running smoothly. FIRSTLY, it has the latest firmware update Sony released for these insuring that it will be HDMI compatible with all older and newer TVs. Without this update I have witnessed that some newer TVs after 2013 or so will not show any picture and the changer wont recognize the connected TV. My units will not have this issue. Also, It has a fresh belt set, Fresh Sony laser pickup assembly, and a totally disassembled and re-lubricated laser transport tracking assembly. This consists of the gear drive and metal guide rail the laser head rides on. When this is not addressed, it can lead to skipping during playback. Many a time I find that all the original grease in all these units begins to harden and become more like a tacky, wet glue rather than a slick lubricant. This leads to skipping during playback when not addressed. Also, each unit is disinfected, dusted inside and out, and cleaned ready for installation into your system. The original used laser lens is included for reference. Each unit ships with the disc loading door in the open position so no pressure can be applied to the clear door window causing it to possibly crack during shipping pressure. It is bubble wrapped and surrounded by packing peanuts for cushioning. Ships securely in a double wall 25x24x14 Fedex box. I have been working on these Sony changers for many years and am confident in each one I offer for sale. I GUARANTEE them to work properly for 60 DAYS from the delivery date and back that up with eBays extended 60 day return policy.
