Absolute Mint Condition, WITH cables. I am the original owner. Purchased From Schiit Audio in September 2015 to make use of CHANNEL D’S Pure Music software. The software was not upgraded to keep pace with the MacOS starting with Catalina, and these components have been unused since. I kept waiting…! I estimate that there is less than three hours of operating time on the system, including, of course, the tubes. I never installed the LISST valves. The components have been kept covered and in a cool, dry, dust-free environment. Included are the original boxes and all original contents; these are all, likewise, in Mint Condition. When the Pure Music software was compatible with my Mac, this Schitt system sound was outstanding with both Grado headphones and Sennheiser earphones. For sale is a Schiit system consisting of three components: Syn surround sound preamp (5.1), Bifrost 2/64 DAC, and Gjallarhorn stereo power amp. Im the original owner of the Syn and Gjallarhorn, and the Bifrost came from my audiophile brother. All components are in excellent condition cosmetically and operationally. No known flaws. The Syn and Bifrost are 1 year old, and the Gjallarhorn is 8 months old. I love this system! Dont let the price of the components fool you. This is a audiophile-grade system point blank. My summary of these components: Syn: What Ive always wanted: An audiophile grade preamp that can deliver realistic music surround on occasion using live 2-channel recordings and ambiance extraction. IMHO, ambiance extraction is the only way to deliver quality music surround. The Syns surround performance transported me to the live event on several recordings. FYI: The included ESS 9018 DAC with custom output stage is a very nice bonus given the Syns price point. Bifrost 2/64: IMHO, one of the best bang for the buck DACs on the market, period. Though my brother decided to go with another DAC, by his own admission he paid over 2K for a ~ 15% subjective improvement in performance. For me personally, I wouldnt shop for more. Gjallarhorn: In short, a super-clean, super-transparent mighty mouse power amp that sounds a lot more powerful than its 10 WPC would suggest. So long as your speakers are 90 Db efficient or more, I suspect you can play your music as loud as you like without strain from the Gjallarhorn. Its also a nice touch and it can be bridged to a 30 wall monoblock. Selling my silver 115v Bifrost 2. This is not the newer 2/64 version. It is the original Bifrost 2. I purchased it new in October 2019. It’s been a great DAC.
