This is an absolutely beautiful example of a Sansui CA-3000 Preamplifier. This is one of the truly classic Sansui models, and one that showed off their engineering expertise. This unit is in pretty great shape, please see the pictures for details. I’ve tested all the functions except phono as I don’t have one that works. Up for your consideration is this Sansui CA-3000 Preamplifier. This came out of an estate. It is the 120V model. It has some scratches and some rusting near the inputs on the back. See photos. It is also missing a knob. see photos. I have no way of testing this. I do not know much about this item. When I plug it in, it appears to work. I have removed the top cover to show photos. Very nice vintage Sansui CA-3000 preamplifier that has been completely rebuilt with all capacitors replaced as well as problematic transistors. This is the US 120V version so no need for a step down transformer that you would need for the more common Japanese version. I work as an audio tech for a living and have rebuilt several of these as well as all the other CA/BA units.

This auction is for one (1x) Sansui preamp model CA-3000 made un 1976 in Japan. Great sound. Very good cosmetic condicin for the age. NOTE: this preamplifier works and sounds very good, It is in need of repair. the only problem it has is with the vu meters controller board. not finding a qualified technician. The owner bridged the two meters on the same line, so that they both move, but it does not influence the correct operation of the stereo preamplifier.
