Ich verkaufe meine Tannoy Berkley, vor einem Jahr revisioniert mit neuen Sicken, neu justierten Diaphragmas, gereinigten Magnet- und Luftspalten und vor allem neu magnetisierten Alnico-Magneten! (durchgeführt von der Lautsprechermanufaktur Mannheim, ehemals Tannoy Deutschland) In diesem Zustand dürfte ein Pärchen wohl kaum noch zu finden sein. Diese Lautsprecher sind am ehesten mit der Tannoy Canterbury vergleichbar. Auch die verwendet einen 15er Dual Concentric mit AlNiCo Magnet und Pepperpot. Das Gehäuse wurde durch ein zweites Gehäuse, das um das Originalgehäuse gebaut wurde, versteift. Die Maße sind genau wie bei den original Berkeleys. Nur optimaler ausgeführt (feinste Handarbeit eines Schreiners). Wirklich bemerkenswert gut umgesetzt. Die Berkeley Originalgehäuse sind recht simpel und resonieren zu stark, was dem Klang abträglich ist. Das kann man auch oft in einschlägigen HiFi Foren lesen. Die alten Tannoy Gehäuse gelten allgemein als mäßig. Diese sind DEUTLICH besser. Hier kann der 15er Dual Concentric sein ganzes Potential ausspielen. Der Vorteil der zusätzlichen Sockel ist, dass die Berkleys keinen Ständer o.ä. benötigen. Man hat freistehende Lautsprecher auf Sofa-Sitzhöhe. Der Sockel der Lautsprecher ist mit Sand befüllbar, um den Bass noch tiefer zu ziehen. Mir persönlich hat der Bass auch so bereits gereicht. Ich hatte die Lautsprecher manchmal auf den Sockeln, manchmal auch auf meinen Basslautsprechern stehen. Den Sockel kann man auch einfach weglassen und hat somit die Originalhöhe der Berkleys. Also man ist hier sehr flexibel. Mitgeliefert wird auch eine weisse Frontbespannung, um sie Wohnzimmertauglich zu machen. Die Weichen sind original, nur die Regler sind überbrückt um die Übergangswiderstände in den Schaltern zu eliminieren. Kann aber leicht rückgängig gemacht werden, klingt dann nur nicht mehr so gut. Tannoy hat die alten Studiomonitore wieder neu aufgelegt. Die Tannoy Legacys sehen den alten Originalen täuschend ähnlich. Nur leider wird die Klangqualität nicht erreicht, da nur günstige und einfache Ferrit Magnete und der Tulip Waveguide“ eingesetzt werden. Klanglich NICHT ANSATZWEISE vergleichbar mit den alten AlNiCo Magneten und dem Pepperpot Hochtonstrahler. Der Dual Concentric strahlt als Punktschallquelle ab und klingt phänomenal. KEIN anderes System erreicht dieses geschlossene und absolut realistische Klangbild. Feinste Details werden offengelegt, die Raumabbildung ist beeindruckend. Grob und Feindynamik befinden sich auf absolutem TOP Niveau. Schnell, dynamisch, offen, klangfarbenstark und druckvoll. Wie von Tannoy zu erwarten. Auch teuerste Lautsprecher der xx tausend Euro Klasse haben hier keine Chance. Aufgrund von Größe und Gewicht (so um 70 Kg mit Ständer das Paar) ist ein Versand leider nicht möglich. Die Lautsprecher kann man abholen und probehören in Zürich oder Pleidelsheim. Der Verkauf erfolgt unter Ausschlus jeglicher Gewährleistung. Und der Hund ist nicht Bestandteil des Verkaufs.

What nobody talks about is how to maintain these speakers: They must be rotated a quarter turn, from the position they are screwed into the furniture in, every 1 or 2 years. For sale is single rare Tannoy 15 Dual Concentric speaker LSU/HF/15/L & crossover. This one has the desirable Black Label, which indicates is was made inbetween the Black Tannoy and the traditional Silver Tannoy run. Cosmetically, the speaker has considerable wear. There are dents and scratches on the metal, as can be see in the photos, and the label on the crossover is peeling. The photos show its true condition.
