This Proceed Audio HPA-2 High End 2-Channel 250 Watt Power Amplifier is a great option for those looking to enhance their home audio system. With stereo L/R RCA and XLR audio inputs, this amplifier offers high-quality sound and has a power output of 250 W. It also has stereo L/R RCA and banana speaker jacks for audio outputs, and comes in a sleek gray color. This power amplifier has 2 channels and 2 inputs, and is an AB class amplifier. It is perfect for those who want to add more power to their audio system without compromising on sound quality. Whether youre a music enthusiast or just someone who wants to enjoy your favorite movies with better audio, this Proceed Audio HPA-2 amplifier is a great choice. The Proceed HPA2 was designed and built by Madrigal Audio Laboratories (Mark Levinson). Its may not look quite a fancy as some of the ML amps, however in many reviews its performs shockingly close. They may have saved some cost on the faceplate but they didnt skimp on performance. With dual toroidal power supplies and over-engineered input and output devices its capable of driving most any load. Its also doubles output power with 4 Ohm speakers to 500 watts per channel. The HPA-2 has a warmer sound than a Krell but tends to sound more open than Bryston and other similar amplifiers in its class. It reminded us of the dynamic solid state could you get from PASS Labs amps with a slight warmer naturalness. This Amplifier is in very good cosmetic shape for its age with 1 scratch on the front (see last 2 pictures) and a a few small nicks.It is not currently operational. It turns on but when you push the power button, it shuts down. I believe it is due to the thermal protection. It may not need more than a fuse, but I am not sure. It is being sold as-is.This is a very heavy amp (94 lbs in the box) and will be expensive to ship. Its too heavy for me to keep moving around as I get older. Time for a class D amp for me, lol.
