1 year old PrimaLuna EVO 300 power amplifier purchased new from Upscale audio. Purchase price was $4395 + 8.25% tax = $4757.This gorgeous amp is in perfect condition without any blemishes. The BMW blue metallic finish on these amps is something to behold, but difficult to photograph. Have to see it in person to appreciate.The stock PrimaLuna tube set is essentially new as I used an alternate set up tubes from my collection so the amp is nicely broken in, but the tubes are new. This amp was part of a two amp setup and did not get as much use as the other one. I estimate run time on the amp at about 300 hours. The EVO 300 Hybrid uses same preamp gain stage as the award-winning PrimaLuna EVO 400 Preamplifier, which was designed by Marcel Croese, former chief engineer, Goldmund Switzerland. That means all-tube and dual mono. The only thing we left out was tube rectification because it isnt appropriate for this application.It took two years of research and experimentation to perfectly pair it with the output circuit designed by Jan de Groot who has designed all of PrimaLunas MOSFET circuits, and was behind all the Sphinx Audio designs from 1995 to 2000.
