Offered for your consideration is one (1) Polk Audio two-way, three driver crossover network removed from my CS100 center channel speaker, USA-manufactured in 1993. This crossover was used to divide two MW4003 4” mid/bass drivers from an SL1501 1” dome tweeter.So, please take a look at the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if this useful crossover network is correct for your needs. This Polk center channel crossover is in clean, excellent condition. There are no cracks or scratches on the faceplate. It features two capacitors, a resistor, and heavily-wired copper inductor. Plus, the +/- terminals are in perfect working order and hold speaker cable very tight. Overall, this crossover is very well preserved.Most crucially, it was recently tested to function perfectly with the factory drivers before cabinet disassembly. The crossover connects two 4 ohm mid/bass woofers in series for a net nominal load of 8 ohms. So, the mid/bass wiring goes like this—black wire to woofer #1 positive and white wire with black tape stripe to woofer #2 positive (both of the entirely white wires are negative). The tweeter, 8?-rated, is wired white to positive, black negative. In addition, I’ve neatly separated the woofer and tweeter wires with ties for the new owner’s convenience. This is a nice find if the crossover on your CS100, or other suitable Polk center channel speaker, is not working properly or has a broken input terminal, etc. Plus, it’s also ready for action in a center channel speaker-building project with the appropriate drivers of your choice and requires a 2” cabinet cutout.As pictured and described, this Polk Audio CS100 crossover network is offered at a reasonable price. This is my center speaker I purchased new in the late around 2008 +/-. The speaker is 100% working and in very good condition. If you need a quality made, sound intensive, clear, front channel speaker, then look no further. Perhaps this could be the one you have been looking for! You will want to use banana jacks for the speaker wire connections, and make sure you use a quality speaker wire. This, and connecting to an amplifier yields the best sound. This item will ship!
