Offered for your consideration is a Polk Audio RD5559 5¼ inch laminate cone woofer removed from my CS10 center channel speaker, USA-manufactured in 2008. Please have a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this capable mid/bass woofer is correct for your needs. *Although the listing is written in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Polk Audio RD5559 woofers are available at time of this writing. Please choose if you’d like to buy one or both in the quantity field at the top of the listing. The shipping cost will be automatically calculated by eBay checkout. This woofer is in clean, good to very good condition. The only detraction is some oxidation on the back side of the basket, flange, and magnet shield bell. The speaker was in a coastal home in Florida for a decade and, evidently, the salty sea air caused this. Otherwise, the cone and center cap look perfect. Plus, the cone suspension is permanent rubber instead of the decay-prone foam found on other brands. Lastly, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. And the plastic flange gasket is included as well. Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds great—fast, detailed midrange and strong bass for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 2.4 consistent with two woofers being series-wired for a net nominal 4 ohms in the CS10. Lastly, the basket measures 5¼” across the truncated sides (5?” on the rounded), it stands about 3¼” tall (with flange cover on), and the six mounting holes are all spaced 2¾” apart, c-t-c. As pictured and described, this Polk Audio CS10 5¼” woofer is offered at a competitive price. Offered for your consideration is a pair of vintage Polk Audio part MW 4003 4 inch woofers, USA-manufactured in 1993. They were original equipment in my CS100 Monitor center channel speaker and were possibly used in other small Polk speakers from the 1990’s, but buyer is responsible for verifying their suitability for other applications.So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if these capable mid/bass woofers are correct for your needs. These Polk woofers are in clean, excellent condition. The cones are sturdy paper, poly-coated for extra strength, and have no flaws. Also, the voice coil dustcaps are perfect with no dents or dimples. Plus, the black-coated steel baskets and sharp “bell” magnet covers are in great shape as well. Also, the surrounds are foam, but they’re polyether that doesn’t fall apart over time like the old polyurethane does, so they’re still in great shape and very pliable. Lastly, the +/- input terminals measure the standard .205”, they’ve never been soldered, and I added small red circle decals on the positive side after the photos were taken. Overall, these mid/bass drivers are exceptionally well-preserved. Most importantly, these drivers have been fully tested and sound great with clear, detailed midrange and good low-end for the platform size. Plus, I tested their DC resistance at 3.5 and 3.7?, consistent with a 4 ohm nominal driver rating. Lastly, the baskets measure 4?” square, they stand 2” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 3¼” adjacent / 4?” diagonal, center-to-center. These are a nice find for someone that has blown or damaged 4” woofers in their CS100 or similar Polk model—your speakers will be sounding their best again in no time!As pictured and described, this pair of Polk Audio MW4003 mid/bass woofers is offered at a competitive price.
