Yep, this is for a Pioneer TX-6500 II AM/FM stereo receiver analog tuner in silver face. It was manufactured in Japan during the 1970s. It features stereo RCA audio outputs and receives FM (stereo and mono) and AM frequencies. It is a nostalgic piece of audio equipment that is fully functional and ready for use. It has those cool thoughtful tabs so you can mark where a channel is (look at the bottom of the indicator -- they slide in a track). FM works really well. I didn’t get any AM channels but we live out and I didnt bother to hook up an antenna to it, so it could be it doesnt work or its location. But FM section is surprisingly sweet since all I had was a wire hooked up to the antenna jacks. Mute works as it should, too. Im selling my SX-980 in another auction if you want to go big time...
