There are many favorable reviews and other online articles on this 70s turntable. The Pioneer PL-A35 is a classic wood & metal turntable. The base (plinth) is a beautiful walnut wood veneer on a heavy wood frame. There is a heavy-duty motor for the platter and a Gear motor for the Pick-Up. The entire turntable is about 20 lbs. (package weight about 27+ lbs). The turntable is built like a tank. The quality of the build and components explains why this turntable is still highly desirable.Designed for ease-of- operation as well as precision, the PL-A35 is fully automatic— from the playing of the record to auto-repeat and tonearm return at the end of the record. You’ll never touch the tonearm, your records get extra long-life protection. Or use the manual operation if you prefer. Very Rare - Awesome Pioneer PL-A350B HiFi Record Player Turntable - Full Auto. A very rare Pioneer deck, I’ve been buying a selling Hifi for over 20 years and have never seen another. This was imported during the 1980s and converted to UK voltage. I’ve checked the deck over and have set the speeds so the pitch control has full range, a new belt has been fitted, the automatic function has been checked and works as it should. Fully working and in good condition, with various marks and signs of age but no damage to the main unit, but the lid does have some cracking to the hinge areas, as shown. Recent new belt.
