Filme aus den 90er Jahren sehen i.d.R. gut aus Gute LDs erreichen die Qualität einer guten DVD. Die Bildschärfe ist etwas weicher als DVD, die Farbwiedergabe jedoch besser. Keine digitalen Kompressionsartefakte, keine Blocks, keine Stufen bei Fade Outs, keine Unschärfen bei schnellen Bewegungen. Denn die Bildaufzeichnung ist analog.Das Bild wirkt wie ein analoges Kinobild. Es macht viel Freude, alte Filme auf Laserdisc zu schauen. Der 919 spielt auch Daten-LDs ab. Es gab LDs mit ca. 50000 Bildern, auf die der Player mit der Fernbedienung per 10er Tastatur direkt zugreifen kann. Die DVD-Wiedergabe habe ich nur selten benutzt, ein kurzer Test zeigte, dass DVD-Wiedergabe funktioniert.Die Bildqualität ist jedoch nicht auf dem Niveau aktueller DVD-Player, Stand 1998 halt ... Ich habe das Gerät viele Jahre benutzt und vor dem Einstellen noch einmal gründlich mit mehreren LDs getestet.Es funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Die LDs laufen problemlos, und die Wendemechanik A-B funktioniert einwandfrei.Ich kann leider nicht alle Anschlüsse testen. Getestet wurden: Scart, Audio Out Cinch (RCA), Audio out digital optisch Bitte beachte, dass das Gerät keinen HDMI Ausgang hat. Es gibt jedoch passende Konverter.
