For your consideration is a legendary tube power amplifier designed by the late Tim de Paravicini. This amplifier was purchased from an audiophile estate auction. It appears to have been in the middle of being repaired but was left unfinished when the previous owner passed away. The condition is completely unknown and is therefore sold 100% as-is for parts or restoration. No returns or refunds. Either way this is a very rare find and definitely worth putting for effort into. I planned in having it restored but my tech said he is 4-6 month behind and would not be able to get to this project for quite some time. Here is what I know…. All of the tubes are missing. The 2 tube cages are missing. The bottom plate of the case is missing. The tube boards are missing most of the mounting screws. The circuit board labeled the “534 Adapt” had been disconnected and the balanced outputs appear to have been unscrewed. There is some minor oxidation on the metal casework but it still looks pretty good. This would make a great winter project for someone out there with the knowledge and skill to make it happen! This amplifier is still produced and had a retail of over $8,000 without tubes!
