EAR Yoshino TdP designed Stereo Pre Amp (802). This is the more complex and earlier model, the Stereo Pre-Amp with a total of 14 tubes, the later model was the 802 with fewer tubes. This Stereo Pre Amp rarely comes up for sale, from a smoke and pet free household. Some of my previous sold items inc vintage furniture, ltd edition vinyls and CD player were relisted within days with noticeable mark up by resellers on here and on their sites, buy whilst its available or pay an additional premium to the resellers. Vacuum tube design with moving coil cartridge amplification as well as normal phono section with RIAA equalisation and Line amplification for other devices and Aux inputs. This pre amp will drive comfortably tube and solid state power amps alike. It is noted for specifically quiet, equalling the best solid state designs, without resorting to outbound power supplies or add on Head amps. A total of 14 tubes are used for all the active circuitry. Solid state devices are used in the 24 volt and 260 volt D.C. supplies, the supply noise is better than most battery sources. Have a look at my other listing of the rare original EAR 509 100W power amplifiers that compliment this Pre Amp beautifully. I took this back to EAR for a full service together with the 509 monoblocks. The service was done based on the item presented in full (worksheet says 802). Item has not been used since the service and is ready for the new owner. Previously used with the 509 to drive the ProAc which they are very well matched to.
