This is a Parasound Zpre 2 Zone Preamplifier. From a local storage unit. Has some issues. Read details below before bidding. Cosmetics-Some general surface wear and scratches in places. Most heavily on the edges, sides, and bottom. The front top right rack corner is dented in. The top body left side has a deeper dented area. See photos. The rear plugs have corrosion and could use cleaning. Operationally I checked it out and it does work overall. Nice clear audio. Controls adjust smoothly. It does have issue with the base control though. If its in the center clicked position the sound is clear. But if you adjust it either way the audio has a loud humming sound on one channel. So good for general or limited use. I took a peek inside and the electronics are clean. See lots of photos of what you are getting. Sold AS IS. Includes the unit and AC power cord seen above. Parasound Zpre2 Zone Preamplifier No Remote As Is Not Tested

This is a nice little preamp, purchased used in 2017 and used since that time with other Parasound Z components (Zdac, Zphono, Zamp, and Zselect in a home office system to rip albums and stream music from my PC to zone speakers inside and outside the house. Worked great until recently, when I found it would not turn on via the front panel switch or remote. I do hear two relay clicks when I apply AC via the power cord, but thats it. I looked under the hood and did not see anything obvious in the way of a blown fuse or overheated component. It may be something simple, but Im moving and dont have time to dig into it. Cosmetically, its in good condition, with some scratches on the top that expose base metal, and some light scratches on the sides and bottom that do not. No gouges or dents. Its been maintained in a dry AC-controlled and smoke-free environment throughout the time I have owned it. There are some light rubbing marks on the face of the volume knob, and the bottom left rack mount slot is a little chewed up (I did not rack mount it during my time with the unit). The unit does switch composite video as well, but I never used it for this purpose. Please note that the remote is not included. If you can get it working youll have a nice-sounding preamp. Parasound Zpre2 2-Channel Zone Pre-Amplifier Rack Mount. Powers on but does not seem to work correctly. Input 1 has no audio, and audio bleeds across the other 3 inputs. I have not tested the video input. Volume knob shaft fell apart due to damage Damage to the face, several knobs have damage and turn rough, and have cosmetic damage. Rack portion bent in one place but looks easily fixed. DOES NOT COME WITH POWER CABLE. Being sold for parts or repair, as is.
