This is a nice little preamp, purchased used in 2017 and used since that time with other Parasound Z components (Zdac, Zphono, Zamp, and Zselect in a home office system to rip albums and stream music from my PC to zone speakers inside and outside the house. Worked great until recently, when I found it would not turn on via the front panel switch or remote. I do hear two relay clicks when I apply AC via the power cord, but thats it. I looked under the hood and did not see anything obvious in the way of a blown fuse or overheated component. It may be something simple, but Im moving and dont have time to dig into it. Cosmetically, its in good condition, with some scratches on the top that expose base metal, and some light scratches on the sides and bottom that do not. No gouges or dents. Its been maintained in a dry AC-controlled and smoke-free environment throughout the time I have owned it. There are some light rubbing marks on the face of the volume knob, and the bottom left rack mount slot is a little chewed up (I did not rack mount it during my time with the unit). The unit does switch composite video as well, but I never used it for this purpose. Please note that the remote is not included. If you can get it working youll have a nice-sounding preamp.
