After about 5 minutes of it being plugged in, the power supply temperature didnt get warm, but there was that normal smell of electronics heating up. In good working and cosmetic condition. I was using this with a 451c Strain Gauge cartridge until I obtained a dedicated strain gauge preamp. A few dings here and there but quite nice. Controls could perhaps use some cleaning.
