High Power High End Onkyo TX-SR706AV Receiver 9.5/ 10 physical condition. Powers on, all controls and all lights work. Clean bright display. Will work properly but not all the time. Speaker hookups are a little confusing so I thought I didn’t have them correct and had no volume. Then I wiggled connections and everything worked fine and continued to work correctly for the whole afternoon. Next time I turned it on the volume control did not work properly again. The next time I turned it on it came on with the volume crank all the way up! Scared the s*it out of me. So there is an issue with the volume control and I don’t have the resources to trace it. If you can figure it out you will have a super receiver. Heavy big unit so the shipping is what it is. I hate to toss it - Save it from the landfill! When turn on it has some loud pounding noise through speakers which some times goes away. I used to love this thing. Sound was pretty great (until the sound got wonky). Has some sound disturbance (big white noise) which stays and goes. Manuals, Quick Start guide, original purchase paperwork and (not that is worth it now) product registration paperwork. That is the reason for parts listing. Im sure it can be repaired but Ive moved on. Unit in good condition otherwise. There is NO REMOTE CONTROL for this unit.
