Alas, I must part with my beloved Nakamichi OMS-3A CD player. It no longer recognizes a CD. The tray opens and closes, then you get some whirring inside, but then the tray opens again because the unit doesnt realize that there is a CD in the tray. In fact, it does this whether there is a CD in the tray or not. So if you can repair it, this is a great deal. Its in the original box (although Ill ship it inside a bigger box) and includes the remote and the manual. Theres no way for me to test the remote but it did work back in the day. I bought this unit on Aug 30, 1986 for $743! Major dollars in 1986. In 1991, it had a problem and I sent it to Nakamichi - they replaced the loading belt, whatever that is - and charged me $78 at that time. Maybe thats what is wrong now, I have no idea. Anyway, I hope you can get it to work. I always thought it was a very solid unit.

The combination is said to provide much better group-delay characteristics than is possible using a “brick-wall” analog filter alone. Like Nakamichi’s higher-priced CD players, the OMS-2A employs a “multi-regulated” power supply for maximum channel separation and to keep digital noise out of the analog circuits. Its three-spot laser pickup is also similar to those used in the other Nakamichi players, and the entire drive mechanism is floated from the main chassis on springs to isolate it from external shock and vibration. Although the OMS-2A appears deceptively simple at first glance, it has most of the convenience features one expects in a CD player. It can be programmed to play up to fifteen tracks in any desired order, and either the programmed sequence or the entire disc can be repeated indefinitely. Track skipping in either direction is also provided, but there is no direct access to indexed program segments. Fast forward and reverse search are provided only on the supplied wireless remote control. A disc can be scanned at two speeds, with the program audible when this mode is entered from play. *not Nakamichi Dragon*

This particular player worked this summer,used it for my 4th july party, i plugged it in and now its not reading disc,nit sure but selling for repair

Nakamichi OMS-7E II CD-Player Das Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Antriebsriemen für die Lasereinheit wurde vor kurzem erneuert. Schöner optischer Zustand. Mit normalen Gerbauchsspuren, hier und da ein Paar Kratzer. Ein länglicher Kratzer links oben. CDs werden sofort eingelesen und ohne Probleme wiedergegeben. Die CD-Lade finde ich sehr wertig, robust. Es füllt sich alles sehr hochwertig an. Die Displayanzeige läuchtet hell und kräftig. Ohne Zubehör. Das Gerät kann abgeholt oder versendet werden. Da Privatverkauf von gebrauchter Ware schließe ich eine Gewährleistung und Rüchnahme aus.
