Nakamichi OMS-7 Cd Player - serial number V301-05474 Manufactured February 1985 This is one of the earliest TOTL CD Players by Nakamichi The pictures are of the actual unit you will receive Its in pretty nice shape aside from some scratches on the top All the screws are there for the cabinet The transit screw is gone but the brass transit posts are OK - I will tighten them for shipping. This is quite a heavy unit. The unit powers up - the tray opens and closes The laser assembly unit moves into position (I changed the disintegrated belt) The front panel lights up as it should - the motor spins the laser - the lasr moves into place It tries to read for about 10 seconds - then the green light goes off the Standby Indicator goes off and the CD Ejects Shipped well packed the same or next business day. I removed the dried up glue under the pad for the DIN Circuit board as I read that sometimes is problematic Beyond that - I dont have the ability or test gear to move on further. I did not change or fiddle with any pots I also read that the dual phillips DAC is one of the best. I try to power it on and only see the remote sensor light up for a second or 2 and thats it. Nothing comes on the screen. No other testing has been done. The remote is missing the metal piece that connects the battery on one end as shown in picture #4. In picture #5 I put some solder wire in there to see if it would work and all buttons turned green when pressed. Good condition considering its age. Some normal use wear such as light scuffs and scratches. Smoke free home. I will place the original box in a larger box for shipping. For any questions please ask, thank you for looking.
