Looks to be in very good cosmetic condition. Comes with its original shipping box and product box. Shipping packaging inserts, manual and original remote. The remote looks to have never been used. I wonder if this was a return because the volume knob was broke. Then reclaimed and stored for many years. Tested the unit and the door tray opened and closed fine. It seemed to go through the functions just fine. It sure does run pretty quiet. I only tested one disc on it. Just took it out of the box and removed the transit screw, hooked it up ran one disc and went through most of the functions and then inserted the transit screw back in. Then placed the unit back in its box. I left the remote untouched. All that said and since this is an old electronic from 1986 and good quality unit. THIS unit is to be sold in AS IS condition. Regardless of what the description states or does NOT state. NO future partial refunds for ANYTHING etc. I want it to go to someone who is handy with them. If something happens, I certainly NOT interested in what your repair guy has to say, cost etc. Old electronics this is your risk totally. I am just giving you an opportunity to simply own a quality Nakamichi system to the audio hobbyist who respects it and appreciates it for what it is as it is. It will be packed and shipped in its original box with its packaging inserts. I will cut a piece a cardboard around the original shipping box to hide its identity. It is certainly a rare piece and super hard to find complete such as this example. PLEASE NO buyer remorse victims.

Nakamichi OMS-7 Cd Player - serial number V301-05474 Manufactured February 1985 This is one of the earliest TOTL CD Players by Nakamichi The pictures are of the actual unit you will receive Its in pretty nice shape aside from some scratches on the top All the screws are there for the cabinet The transit screw is gone but the brass transit posts are OK - I will tighten them for shipping. This is quite a heavy unit. The unit powers up - the tray opens and closes The laser assembly unit moves into position (I changed the disintegrated belt) The front panel lights up as it should - the motor spins the laser - the lasr moves into place It tries to read for about 10 seconds - then the green light goes off the Standby Indicator goes off and the CD Ejects Shipped well packed the same or next business day. I removed the dried up glue under the pad for the DIN Circuit board as I read that sometimes is problematic Beyond that - I dont have the ability or test gear to move on further. I did not change or fiddle with any pots I also read that the dual phillips DAC is one of the best.
