Looks to be in very good cosmetic condition. Comes with its original shipping box and product box. Shipping packaging inserts, manual and original remote. The remote looks to have never been used. I wonder if this was a return because the volume knob was broke. Then reclaimed and stored for many years. Tested the unit and the door tray opened and closed fine. It seemed to go through the functions just fine. It sure does run pretty quiet. I only tested one disc on it. Just took it out of the box and removed the transit screw, hooked it up ran one disc and went through most of the functions and then inserted the transit screw back in. Then placed the unit back in its box. I left the remote untouched. All that said and since this is an old electronic from 1986 and good quality unit. THIS unit is to be sold in AS IS condition. Regardless of what the description states or does NOT state. NO future partial refunds for ANYTHING etc. I want it to go to someone who is handy with them. If something happens, I certainly NOT interested in what your repair guy has to say, cost etc. Old electronics this is your risk totally. I am just giving you an opportunity to simply own a quality Nakamichi system to the audio hobbyist who respects it and appreciates it for what it is as it is. It will be packed and shipped in its original box with its packaging inserts. I will cut a piece a cardboard around the original shipping box to hide its identity. The combination is said to provide much better group-delay characteristics than is possible using a “brick-wall” analog filter alone. Like Nakamichi’s higher-priced CD players, the OMS-2A employs a “multi-regulated” power supply for maximum channel separation and to keep digital noise out of the analog circuits. Its three-spot laser pickup is also similar to those used in the other Nakamichi players, and the entire drive mechanism is floated from the main chassis on springs to isolate it from external shock and vibration. Although the OMS-2A appears deceptively simple at first glance, it has most of the convenience features one expects in a CD player. It can be programmed to play up to fifteen tracks in any desired order, and either the programmed sequence or the entire disc can be repeated indefinitely. Track skipping in either direction is also provided, but there is no direct access to indexed program segments. Fast forward and reverse search are provided only on the supplied wireless remote control. A disc can be scanned at two speeds, with the program audible when this mode is entered from play. *not Nakamichi Dragon*
