Nakamichi OMS-7 Cd Player - serial number V301-05474 Manufactured February 1985 This is one of the earliest TOTL CD Players by Nakamichi The pictures are of the actual unit you will receive Its in pretty nice shape aside from some scratches on the top All the screws are there for the cabinet The transit screw is gone but the brass transit posts are OK - I will tighten them for shipping. This is quite a heavy unit. The unit powers up - the tray opens and closes The laser assembly unit moves into position (I changed the disintegrated belt) The front panel lights up as it should - the motor spins the laser - the lasr moves into place It tries to read for about 10 seconds - then the green light goes off the Standby Indicator goes off and the CD Ejects Shipped well packed the same or next business day. I removed the dried up glue under the pad for the DIN Circuit board as I read that sometimes is problematic Beyond that - I dont have the ability or test gear to move on further. Nakamichi TA-4A in extremely nice condition. As you can see, the often missing remote is with it, these go for over 75.00 ofter. No known issues. I have no way of testing the phono inputs, Tuner pulled a few stations in. Sound is very nice, definitely smoother and less fatiguing than many Ive heard. Seems to give a little more oopmh to the bass while still letting you keep track of the bass line. I also feel it keeps better separation between instruments, when the music gets busy it just seems easy to keep up with what the different musicians are playing. The variable loudness control is very different from a typical loudness switch, If you purchase, take the time to DL a Owners Manual where it explains how it functions. If you do a lot of low volume listening, its very nice. Shipping costs are estimated, if theres a discrepancy, I will refund the difference.

I lost original remote but used remote Nakamichi # AV-8 learning remote that controlled my receiver, record player so on and said unit. The remote though learns with the original remote only. Vintage-Nakamichi Soundspace 1 Cd Player/Radio/Alarm Clock With Speakers Made in Japan Complete unit with speakers, power cable, antenna, and wireless remote. Ive tested the unit. Everything works well. Clock, power, CD player, radio and remote. Overall its a nice system. The unit shows light wear, although a couple of dings and a screw missing from rear of speaker stand. The speakers both function, however the right speaker is slightly fuzzy/distorted. Im listening/enjoying a CD as I type this and its really not a big issue.
