Der Verstärker hat zwei Eingänge für Phono (MM), Tuner, Aux und Tape. Die Potis wurden gereinigt und arbeiten geräuschlos. Die Netzteilelkos wurden ersetzt. Leider brummen die beiden Transformatoren hörbar. Unterfütterung mit Moosgummi hat nicht geholfen. Auch ist das Gehäuse leicht verzogen das er minimal kippelt. The NAD 3140 is a very nice sounding vintage amplifier. NAD in general, and this model in particular, has a great reputation that is well deserved. This unit features two phono inputs, as well as inputs for a tuner, auxiliary for CD or streaming, and two tape loops. Also, the amp features jumpers between the amplifier and preamplifier sections, allowing for the addition of a subwoofer or equalizer. It is also possible to bridge this amp. NADs famous soft clipping circuit is also on board. I have owned this for several years, and it has been flawless. It does have a small ding on the lower left of the faceplate. It isnt distracting from the overall excellent condition.

Fantastic big, quality NAD amplifier essentially working but one issue with the SPEAKER EQ setting. On either 45 or 70hz the output is absolutely fine but as soon as turned off after 30 seconds or so right hand channel starts to distort. Unsure why, havent investigated. Unit has been recapped. All caps replaced with high quality caps. Brown glue removed. Boards reflowed approx. 75%. Cleaned and inspected. Unit bias and DC offset set to factory specs. All controls cleaned. Unit tested and sounding great. Face and case has some minor wear and tear. The bal. works. Tested with scope. It is a little loose and it grabs to the left. Would have liked to replace but can not find one. 10 hours of work it and the buyer will enjoy for a long time to come.
