NON-POLAR CAPS WERE REPLACED WITH (A LARGE NUMBER OF) WIMA POLYPROPYLENE FILM AND OTHER POLYPROPYLENE FILM CAPS. POLYPROPYLENE BY-PASS CAPACITORS WERE ADDITIONALLY INSTALLED UNDERNEATH THE CIRCUIT BOARD AS NEEDED. AT THE ANALOG OUTPUT, THE 2 ELECTROLYTIC NON-POLAR CAPS WERE REPLACED WITH NICHICON MUSE, BY-PASSED WITH POLYPROPYLENE FILM/FOIL CAPACITORS. THE RCA OUTPUT JACKS ARE CONNECTED WITH SHIELDED SILVER PLATED WIRING. HEATSINKS WERE INSTALLED ON SURFACE MOUNTED ICS AND MICRO PROCESSORS. LASTLY, I DID INSTALL SOME BURSON DISCRETE OP-AMPS, BUT LATER REMOVED THEM. WHILE THE OP-AMPS DID SLIGHTLY ALTER THE SOUND, I COULD NOT DEFINITIVELY STATE THERE WAS AN ACTUAL IMPROVEMENT AND WORTH THE ADDITIONAL COST IN THIS APPLICATION. THE VAST MAJORITY OF AUDIBLE SOUND/PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS CAME FROM THE COMPONENT UPGRADES THAT WERE COMPLETED FIRST. NOT THE INSTALLATION OF THE DISCRETE OP-AMPS, THAT WERE INSTALLED LAST. THE ORIGINAL 5532 OP-AMPS ARE INSTALLED IN SOCKETS AND CAN BE EASILY REPLACED IF, SHOULD THE BUYER WANT TO EXPERIMENT WITH OTHER OP-AMPS/HDAMS. THIS UPGRADED V3-DAC AND POWER SUPPLY COMBO PROVIDES A SMOOTH ANALOG SOUND THAT RIVALS NEWER, OR MORE EXPENSIVE DACS.

Purchased new in 2005. All original packaging, 3 power interconnects and the IEC power cord included. No operators manual and missing one of the power interconnects. Ie there are 4 interconnect output jacks and only 3 cords. I miss placed one of the cords and have not found it. This power unit only works with the Musical Fidelity V3, X series units. The X-CAN V3 that I have listed works with this power conditioner and is superior to the wall wart. Thanks for taking a look.

Up for sale is a very nice Musical Fidelity V-DACii and V-PSUii with 3 different wires and a power cord!  Good condition, but there are some some tiny scratches and other flaws here and there. Rarely used! Power cord, 3 wires, and reprinted owners manual included!

This auction is for 3 Musical Fidelity items. They are all in excellent condition mechanically and look like new. They have been in storage for over 6 years and in the move we lost the 2 connects for the X-LP and X10-D. (They run about 10$ each on ebay) I am almost certain they are in our home somewhere but have so many I can not identify the right ones and I rather not ship the wrong ones and have the item be damaged for using improper wattage.
