This two-piece M3 Nu-Vista was acquired from the original owner, one of our most meticulous and discerning customers. According to our research, only 500 units were produced by Musical Fidelity. Both the integrated amplifier and power supply (separate housing for its transformers) are in very good condition, with a few minor smudges on the chassis and a bit of tarnish on the speaker binding posts. The M3 Nu-Vistas output stage is essentially dual-mono, each channel fed by its own transformer/power supply, and each with its own dedicated printed circuit board, output transistor array, and heatsink. Musical Fidelitys Nu-Vista line featured the nuvistor triode 6CW4 tube, a robust, cool-running device [that] offers low noise, heat, and microphony, linear performance, and long life. (from Stereophile review.) Includes an on-board moving magnet phono section. Stereophile observed that the M3 had the power, dynamic presentation, and finesse to rock hard and reproduce lush massed strings and female vocals with equal aplomb. The M3s presentation was of a piece, leaving no loose ends hanging out to get in the way of the music. Its ease and liquidity had me listening hour after hour without fatigue.
