Firstly, this is a tangential record player, this means that the stylus moves across the record deck at a 90 degree angle to the record across the whole record. this reduces weight on the record by the stylus as it sits perfectly in groove at all times. In addition, there is a black round weight sensor in the centre of the deck, this records the weight of the record being played and sets up the record player with the correct speed (LP or Single) and sets the record player start position so that the stylus starts in exactly the correct position. There are control buttons on the record deck for moving the stylus to intended tracks on the album. These controls raise and lower the stylus in the selected position and there is also a play command button, The stylus is also moved to the requested start position on the record and can be lowered into the position required. To make this all easier to do Bang and Olufsen, in its design also incorporated a light in the back of the unit that shines across the record highlighting the grooves, making the start of tracks easily identifiable. Der letzte Tangial-Plattenspieler von Bang & Olufsen aus den Neunziger Jahren Die 9500 Beogram Serie war auf das Beocenter 9500 optisch abgestimmt. Das Design in klassischen Schwarz mit polierter Metallplatte auf der Haube aus dunklem Kunststoff mit einem dezenten weißen Zierstreifen am Rand, ist immer noch ein Blickfang für jeden Hifi-Fan und Kenner der B&O Geräte. Der Plattenspieler hat neue Riemen erhalten und wurde gesäubert und neu geschmiert,d as Gehäuse hat keine Schäden, der Plattenspieler läuft einwandfrei, der Tonarm gleitet geschmeidig über die Platte. Lediglich auf der Kunststoffhaube gibt es die üblichen Wischspuren, die sich über die Jahre nicht vermeiden lassen, ich habe versucht dies auf den Photos aufzuzeigen - sollten sie weiter Aufnahmen wünschen, schreiben Sie mir bitte. Der Platten Spieler wird aufwendig verpackt und gesichert zum Transport - natürlich ist eine Abholung auch möglich. This item is in reasonable condition for its age.It has been tested electrically and mechanically all of the functions operate.Turntable spins at both correct speeds in response to push buttons.The light and red speed displays indicate correctly.The arms track laterally and drop down onto the LP.However the cartridge no longer has its stylis so I can not confirm the audio output.A new cartridge can be fitted (or a repair service can be used to fix this one) and it will probable work fine as this deck played beautifully before it was put into storage over 10 years ago. There is one surface scratch on the lid and other minor marks on the silver part of the lid.There is also surface rust on the underside baseplate.
