I’m selling off some of the vintage & contemporary items I have around the shop. This auction is for a a pair of Bang & Olufsen MMC2 cartridges for parts. The first needs a new tip as seen in the microscope image. It is marked 231 between the four pins that connect it to the arm. The coils read 774 and 767 DC ohms with my Fluke 73 DMM.The second cartridge needs the stylus protector, cantaliver and tip. It is marked 237 between the four pins. Beosound Ouverture, 3000, 3200, 9000, Beocenter/Beosystem 2300, 2500 ect.) angeschlossen werden.Optisch ist er in einem guten Zustand (siehe original Fotos), hat aber natürlich auf dem Deckel ein paar Kratzer/Schlieren, die auf den Fotos nicht so gut zu erkennen sind und je nach Lichteinfall zu sehen sind. Note: On 9-12-2024 I swapped the original topdown photo with one that better reflects the stylus. To my eye in real life it looks straight. I seem to have difficulty achieving a camera angle that perfectly shows that. At any rate, I wanted disclose that change to the listing. Reducing the number of turntables that I own.   I recently have used this cartridge with a B&O 1800 and listened to a couple records.  Functions as intended. I have successfully shipped B&O cartridges in the past and will properly package this item before shipping. Ships to lower 48 only.

I am selling a wonderful Bang & Olufsen B&O MMC2 Phono Cartridge that looks and sounds wonderful. Only reason I am selling for Parts or Repair is because of Parts Swappers plus Delicate Nature of Cartridge. Please see feedback and purchase with confidence. The MMC2 was B&Os second best cartridge. It is essentially the same as their top-line cartridge (MMC1) except it did not fall within certain test parameters when tested by B&O. This was used on my B&O 1800 turntable which I sold bare. As you see in pictures 10-12 you can see MMC2 cartridge on turntable was tracking at less than 3/4 gram, I always set tracking force at low setting to keep stylus in dandy condition from wear plus it also keeps suspension in nice shape. Both channels are clean and well balanced as seen in picture 13 which is my LED display for power out, both channels perfect. If you look at pictures 7-9 you can see condition of stylus which is clean and sharp with perfect point. This beauty is all original and sounds so sweet. I will ship by USPS Priority for a flat $12 and use Priority box, it makes me not happy when sellers use a bag to ship delicate items. Any questions please ask. Comes with mmc2 cartridge, no stylus present. Will not play in current condition. Does seem to operate as intended everywhere else. Was not able to test for sound output as the cartridge is missing stylus.

Selling my B&O MMC2 phono cartridge that was on my Beogram 5500 turntable. As seen in the pictures it is in pristine condition and fully original, meaning it is equipped with the authentic sapphire cantilever with a nude contact line diamond mounted into it ???? The cartridge sounds great, as can be heard in the video. Both channels play as they should. It is a clear upgrade in sound quality and clarity when compared to the MMC 3-5 models by B&O Ships well packaged and with insurance + tracking in original B&O MMC box. Excellent—dare I say like new stylus. B&O (Bang & Olufsen) MMC2 cartridge. I had this refurbished in Denmark and shortly after fell out of the hobby. Very minimal play time on this cartridge.
