Beautiful sounding Miller & Kreisel (M&K) Satellite-1B (S1-B) speakers. These speakers image extremely well and seem to sound excellent throughout the spectrum of most types of music. All drivers are in excellent shape and work well. Two sets of controls on each speaker allow you to adjust the treble and midrange controls to your liking and setting. Per M&K, the idea is to characterize the speakers to reflect the English sound, the German sound, etc. for your personal preferences.Tweeters: Two 1 soft-dome.Mid-woofers: Two 5 polyproylene cones.Power: 7 1/2 watts min., 400 watts max.Frequency Response: 75 - 22 KHz +/- 3db.Impedance: 4 ohms. Es handelt sich um das Satelliten-System „Volkswoofer Satellite 1B“ mit dem zugehörigen, aktiven Subwoofer und den original Satelliten-Ständern. Der aktive Subwoofer befindet sich in der 110 / 120 Volt USA-Version mit original Stecker. Zum Betrieb dieses schönen Teils ist also ein entsprechender Spannungswandler Voraussetzung (gehört nicht zum Verkauf). Die Boxen sind in Anbetracht des Alters in einem schönen Zustand mit wenigen Gebrauchsspuren und es ist alles voll funktionsfähig. Der Bass hat gerade erst eine neue Sicke mit Staubschutzkappe erhalten. Nur der guten Ordnung halber weise ich darauf hin, dass bei einem Satelliten mal der obere Gehäusebereich beschädigt war, was jedoch wieder instandgesetzt wurde (fällt nur bei näherem Hinsehen ohne Bespannung auf). Durch die unterschiedlichen Regelungsmöglichkeiten – sowohl an den Satelliten als auch am Bass – kann das Klangeschehen besser an die eigenen Hörgewohnheiten angepasst werden (das ist schon eine tolle Sache). Klanglich braucht sich diese Kombi hinter vielen teureren pseudo Highend Boxen nicht zu verstecken. Die Qualität der Lautsprecherboxen ist sehr wertig. I paired those satellites with an M&K V-75 subwoofer and that pairing had superb detail and much more dynamic headroom than youd ever expect. These S-100B are better than the S-85 in every way - double the woofers and triple the tweeters! M&K later released the S-150 THX as their flagship speaker and its important to note the S-150 THX is virtually identical to the S-100B save for the larger cabinet of the S-150 THX. Cosmetically these speakers have seen better days. Still, in every day use in a home theater youll hardly notice any blemishes. Each speaker is missing one of the grill supports but the 3 remaining supports work to hold the grills in place. There are some small pulls and holes in the grills and the fabric needs to be reglued to the wire support frame in some areas. There are some spots where the cabinet has had its finish chip off but these have been touched up with black paint so these blemishes are masked. There are scratches on the front of one speaker. Importantly these are all cosmetic issues and do not impact performance or functionality. Ive shipped speakers across the country and across the world. I will package these speakers with great care and they will be shipped with full insurance.
