These are the so-called Micro Seiki Micro Monitor MX-1 Headphones. I originally owned the Audio Technica ATH-7 electret headphones which were very good but when I heard a pair of these at a colleagues house I knew I just had to own a pair. I have owned these from new and they were serviced just before the covid shutdown and they sound very good. The sale includes both the MS-2 headphones which are very comfortable and also of course the MP-1 driver unit. Micro Seiki are best known for their turntables indeed I own one of them and so when they decided that they needed a setof headphones in their lineup they went to the market leader, Stax. The headset seems to be loosly based on the SR-X while the driver unit is a close variant of the SRD-7 Energiser. Having owned the the Stax SR-X, amongst other models these MS2s have a somewhat improved power-handling and an improved clarity across the entire bandwidth they are alsolighter and more comfortableon the head.
