Relisted due to non-paying auction winner. McIntosh MX130 A/V Tuner Control Center Preamplifier acquired from the original owner. I cant seem to get output through this unit, so working condition is suspect. Offered for repair or restoration. There is no remote control included. I forgot to take it when carrying this unit to my car. This pre-amp/tuner was the nucleus of a home theater system in an ultra-luxury home. When tested in the home I was able to change many of the parameters of the system. Surround sound, hall, stereo, etc. all worked including many of the inputs and multiple channels. I carefully, gently disconnected it from the other McIntosh components. I tested it on my system, and either I couldnt figure out how to use it, or it doesnt work anymore. The tuner pulls in a strong stereo signal, but I couldnt figure out how to attach an amplifier and get output. I even tried hooking up a CD player and couldnt seem to get output. I was able to get output in FM when attaching the RCA cables to all of the output jacks for different inputs, but the controls on the unit didnt affect the functions of the preamplifier. When disconnected from the original main system, there were some types of plugs that I didnt recognize. To be perfectly honest, this unit is well above my knowledge level. I pride myself on honesty, and I can state I dont know what I am doing when it comes to the modern sophistication of this unit. I am still stuck in the 1960s and 70s simple stereo systems. As far as cosmetics, this preamplifier / tuner is in excellent condition with no flaws to report. One of the lamps appear to be out on the latter part of the word McIntosh. Other than that, the unit is clean, including the face plate. Due to the inability to get this unit working again, it is offered for repair or restoration. McIntosh MX130 A/V Tuner Control Center Preamplifier - Preamp w/ Manual & Box Fully tested and 100% functional; although the MX130 is a bit dated when it comes to video capabilities, the audio section on this preamp/tuner is still very much desired. It was recently gone over by our tech. His notes are below. Note, the Mclntosh THX-M Module was not installed on this unit so THX audio is not possible.Cosmetically, it is overall very good with some wear on top. The digital tuner display is a bit cloudy from some internal dust. This is not really noticeable when the unit is on. Also, the bulb for the Sat input on both the Record and Listen sides of the display is a bit dimmer than the rest. Includes original manual and the original box. We are also including the remote. The remote does work, however some of the buttons really have to be pushed hard to get a reaction. Full specs are in the last three images. Unit powers on, screen and lights respond to all dials and buttons. Half the lights on face of unit are out. Inputs and outputs untested, but I would bet overall unit is in pretty decent shape.
