Here is a Custom Environmental Equalizer from McIntosh Laboratories in Binghamton, NY, Model Number MQ-104. I know nothing about this piece of stereo equipment other than what is written on the top. I have no instrumentation with which to test it, I have no stereo equipment to connect it to, and am not sure what I would be listening for if I did. I know this: the original owner lived in Scottsdale, AZ until his untimely death in 1992. His son inherited it from his father and gave it to me. I put it in a drawer and it has been there ever since. I do know that it has a relatively low serial number, AM1091, and from that I would assume that the exact date of manufacture could be deduced. Also, there is a number scrawled on the printed circuit board that may have some relevance. I have no paper work, no box, no sales receipt. Judging by other items he had I would say that it is 1970s vintage. His McIntosh Amplifier was a tube-type if that tells you anything. Low starting bid of 120.00 mainly because I see other Equalizers for 400-500 dollars, and I want to sell this unit to someone who appreciates it. Sold only to the lower 48 states, only. No P.O. Boxes, please. No returns because this is an as-is sale.
