Today we have my old faithful McIntosh Mc 7270 Solid State Hifi Power Amplifier. This unit was purchased 4 years ago & it had the front glass broken out during shipment but I used it as is with no problems. Recently I turned it on as usual & it started smoking from one of the large grey capacitors on the back…The meters were operating properly & were lit up as well…of course I immediately turned it off & here we are. I have no knowledge of how to repair this unit & no service shop in town to fix it, so I am going to sell it as is for parts or repair! Note…this unit doesn’t have its feet either. Up for your consideration is a Mcintosh MC MC7270 Dynamic power amplifier. Device is from the estate of an avid amateur radio operator. who was also into Hifi . Amp was still connected when I purchased it. Before removal I did power it on and listened to it for a for an hour or so. As pictured glass front panel is delaminated all over. Meter lamps are also out. As far as the front glass panel goes there is absolutely no guarantee on it of any kind. I hate to have to put this way, but I have been on ebay since 1996 which unfortunately has exposed me to the worst in people. So for those thinking you will claim broken glass when you get it.
