Offered here is a used McIntosh MVP861 Audio Video Player. This unit comes with remote, original manual and power cord. The player is fully functional. Overall the cabinet is in great shape. The VF display is bright and should have plenty of life left in it. The disc drawer belt was recently replaced. Drawer operation is solid. There is a slight haze in the window opening for the VF display that, at first, looked like internal dust buildup. I removed the front panel to see if it could be cleaned but unfortunately, the haze is caused by the adhesive used to attach the blue filter to the front panel glass. I point this out to just to make you aware of it. In operation it really isnt noticeable. The only solution is wholesale replacement of the front panel and blue filter...you dont want to go there. The remote is in fair condition and is fully functional however there is some damage and wear. The locking tabs that hold the clamshell halves together are broken internally from a previous owner trying to brute force open it. The screw inside the battery compartment is still holding it together ok. There are also some hairline cracks on the sides of the top half from flexing too much on opening. I opened the remote to clean and inspect the rubber keys and PCB contacts. That all looks fine. The original manual is in excellent condition. This unit is packed in a double thick instrument box originally used to ship an expensive piece of ham radio equipment. The unit is suspended in bubble wrap and foam corner retainers.

You are bidding/buying my Mcintosh MVP-861 audio/video player. This was one of my very first Mcintosh purchases and unfortunately i did not save the original box, and lost the original remote. It comes with the manual and power chord. This player was taken to AudioXperts (authorized Mcintosh repair center) in Las Vegas and they replaced a belt (old belt taped to the player in plastic baggie, please see pics) other than that, the unit received a clean bill of health and is ready for many more years of enjoyment. I did my best to take close up pictures of the small scratches and imperfections. The unit presents very well!
