Note on Condition: This was a traded-in or demo unit that was part of the inventory of a home theatre business I bought out. Maybe it was used to push someones ground-shaking subwoofer as its a single channel amp and I only have this one. Knobs missing but they arent even required to operate or use it as it has remote switching capability and the left knob just sets the power meter function. It doesnt light up when plugged in and turned to the manual On position. Most likely its the relay shown in Pic #8 or the switch to the left of it - voltage is not reaching the power transformer so nothings getting power. Ive been told by my associate that he had a tech jump the relay and the unit worked. If I get it 100% operational, the price goes up. Grab this before I order the needed part[s] from McIntosh and raise the price to around $3 Grand. I have talked to McIntosh and the relay is only $20 with $10 shipping so if youre good at circuit board repairs that could well be your total repair cost - that and the knobs and at the price level you can live without them at least short-term until you find a pair. Given what I know about the discontinuity to the power transformer, Im pretty confident that its the only fault in the amp. Note on feature photo: Due to highly reflective nature of the smoked glass surface its impossible to get a pic of this without images appearing in it. Cosmetic condition of this quite handsome piece of high-end audio gear is certainly a few notches above acceptable and you can get the knobs online. There are a couple of micro-nicks in the brushed aluminum side trim which you wont notice except on close inspection. Other ads Ive seen on several venues also disclose such tiny imperfections. Im not an appraiser so I wont offer you a grading on a 10pt scale but you shouldnt have to make any excuses for this in your high-end sound room or on your equipment rack, either alone or as part of a stereo pair. This model has been out of production since 2012 but is still highly sought-after by those with the means to dabble in exotic audio equipment. Was Besseres gibt es nicht! 2 Mono Endstufen mit der unfassbaren Ausgangsleistung von 2x 500 Watt RMS. Und diese Leistung steht an 2, 4 und 8 Ohm zur Verfügung, Auch das bietet kein anderer Hersteller und das ist nur möglich, da McIntosh auch heute noch auf Ausgangsübertrager setzt. Klanglich ein absoluter Traum, will ich hier nicht näher beschreiben, weil es unmöglich ist. Auch die Ausstrahlung dieser Endstufe lässt einen nicht mehr los: Das riesige vollkommen gleichmäßig himmelblau hinterleuchtete VU Meter mitten in der tiefschwarzen Glasfront und dem grünen McIntosh Logo, unglaublich schön. Und diese Beleuchtung ist mit LEDS realisiert und nicht mit Glühlampen. LEDS halten praktisch ewig. Warum verkaufe ich diese Traumendstufen? Ich höre nur noch sehr selten Musik und dafür lohnt es sich nicht, diese Endstufen im Studio stehen zu lassen, Die Endstufen stehen staubgeschützt in meinem tierlosen und klimatisierten Musikstudio. Ich verkaufe auch die beiden MC 601, die auch auch auf dem Bild zu sehen sind. Der Zustand ist wie neu, es gibt keine Gebrauchsspuren. Original AC Geräte aus deutschem Vertrieb, alles Zubehör sowie die Original Kartons sind natürlich vorhanden. Diese Endstufen sind sehr schwer, fast 50kg pro Stück und müssen natürlich hier abgeholt werden. Zur Abholung empfehle ich einen Kleintransporter und mindestens 2 kräftige Männer.
