After speaking with McIntosh we believe the unit is either on the most current firmware or the update server is no longer supported. We proceeded with a factory reset and bench test.This processor was fully tested for audio use. No HDMI testing was done besides OSD. McIntosh MX121 + Remote + Calibration Mic - Very Good Condition I am 80, a HiFi and audio electronic fan since high school. I have collected lots of audio equipment and have started to dispose of them slowly since moving to an apartment at the outbreak of COVID-19. This time up for auction is a McIntosh MX121 with calibration mic. It is in very good condition without any issues when I put it into storage. I have 2 MX121 and the one with the broken glass and bad Firmware has been sold a few weeks ago. I have to sell this one because the apartment neighborhood is not suitable for a complete Home Treater set up. It comes with the power cord, the calibration mic, the tripod and the remote control. Though I do not have the Home Treater set up in the apartment I have tested it before listing: All inputs/outputs including HDMI worked.All buttons functioned,All 3 zones functioned.The setup software functioned as it should.The remote control worked without issues. Pictures are taken on the actual items. As it is a complicated 3 zones audio/visual processor the buyer should has the knowledge in setting it up. McIntosh MX121 – Partially works - for Parts or Repair I am 80, a HiFi and audio electronic fan since high school. This time up for auction is a McIntosh MX121 for parts or repair.  Following is what had happened:I have ordered and replaced the broken front glass a few months ago.It was working OK before I replaced the front glass.BUT after replacing the front glass, the front display did not work. However, the monitor through the HDMI out connection works – as shown in the pictures. All buttons and switches on the front penal work as they should.Based on information from McIntosh - “The FIRMWARE has been erased/corrupted because I have touched the “Reset” and/or the “program” switches on the video PBC when replacing the glass. (email from McIntosh will be provided upon request.)I have obtained a copy of the MX121 FIRMWARE (zip) and have tried to update the FIRMWARE but without success. (Copy of the FIRMWARE and instructions will be provided to the new owner upon request.) In trying to update the FIRMWARE I dropped the unit and broke the front glass again. I have decided to sell this unit – for parts or repair - to someone who may know how to fix it or keep it for parts. Please take note that it’s sold “AS IS” for parts and the above list of happening is for information only. Though pictures are taken on the actual unit, they are for information purposes only.
