Expansive, powerful yet clear and detailed with superb woofer control and tight, deep bass. One of the most well loved classic McIntosh SS designs. Combines all of McIntosh’s most desired features including: *200W per channel in stereo at 8 ohms, and up to 600w mono. *One of the earliest implementations of balanced XLR connections makes a perfect blend of modern and vintage. *Heavy duty gold plated barrier speaker terminals. *McIntosh patented “Power Guard” speaker overload protection circuitry. *Classic McIntosh big blue meters with hold function. *Hard to find independent channel gain controls super useful to match with any variety of preamps. This particular unit underwent a full servicing about a year ago including a complete rebuild/service of its right channel circuitry, general inspection and health check, and front lamp replacements.
