McIntosh C39 preamp with the THX card installed for surround sound. Been stored for several years. Got it out and cannot seem to make it behave. Its has a multi cable installed (from McIntosh) that allowed it to be easily hooked into the MC7106. It’s aftermarket but talked to McIntosh. They explained that was standard before they made changes to the C39 later on So now I’ve gotten it back , checked it but can’t seem to make it work right. I’m too old and semi disabled to trace the issue down Lights up great but that’s as far as I can go with it Comes with original manual and remote. I bought and sold vintage stereo pieces, especially McIntosh years ago on eBay. This is one of the leftovers for back then Time to quit hoarding and let others play with things My son says if I’m not using , please let someone else make use of things and feel he is absolutely correct Have the MC7106 matching amplifier too which also has issues it seems now Lights up but that’s it. Too heavy and hard to hook and test. The C39 will be double boxed and packed correctly before shipping I’ve had McIntosh pieces shipped from and to me so am aware if the glass fronts easily broken. This is a wonderful Mcintosh Preamp for the price. Absolutely jam packed with features. In wonderful condition. The one caveat is that the motorized access panel that covers and uncovers the front video jacks is a little stuck and needs help to get moving - it still works, though. Nice party trick, but its kinda useless anyhow. This has balanced preamp outputs. I will include a pair of Neutrik RCA adapters that will allow you to use this as a very fine stereo preamp without having to invest in balanced cables right away. This is a hell of a deal on a very slick piece of equipment. Glass is nearly perfect. Everything works very well. It sounds as good as you might expect it to. I am including the original manual, as well, although it is written on and the binding is loose. Nice to have, though. This will ship in a newly-made, Mcintosh factory double shipping box. NO PROBLEM! Buy with confidence!!

I added a photo of the unit with the amp and EQ to show it was connected and working before posting. All the components in the photo are for sale on my page. The front mechanized door works. The remote control is fully functional. There is some slight cosmetic wear on the glass panel (well pictured). Box is complete with inner box and outer box with matching serial number. This was gently used for the past decade or so by my father in a Chicago suburb. All components are very clean. The inner shipping box is very clean and rigid. The outer shipping box is a bit worn but I will be surrounding it with paper and protecting it when shipping it out to preserve it. If any description is inaccurate I will refund your purchase, but otherwise sales are final. Great care will be taken at all steps to ensure safe delivery. Happy bidding!
