Magnepan Tympani I Speakers, Magneplanar. Excellent working condition. All panels play beautifully, they are very clean inside. The tweeters are new, the mid bass panels are really clean and the crossovers are updated with high end capacitors, ( the capacitors cost just under $300.00), the speakers have nice depth and detail. The fabric does show some snags in the lower section, but overall they look very nice, no shipping.

Wood trim is perfect speakers have the single box for both panels. Speakers have been completely gone through at magnepan. See work order picture. Im not shipping these so local pickup only. Please read the entire listing prior to bidding. Offered is a very rare (Ive never seen another) Magnaplanar dealer display speaker. It measures 24 tall, made of wood, acrylic plastic and the base is metal. This display shows the how the Magnapan speaker works on the back. This was used as a point of sale piece. Its made to look like a speaker complete with actual wood sides and a cloth grill, but it is NOT a speaker that works/produces sound. I got this from a local stereo shop that closed in 90s that sold Magnaplanar speakers in the 1970s and early 1980s. Im guessing this is from the early 1980s. Its in very good shape, but the metal base piece does have some stains that should clean up. Overall an 8 out 10. Note: that is not a tear in the grill on the top left, its just the back part of the display shinning through. A very cool and rare piece! for sale is a pair of magnepan 2.6r speakers that when i received them the crossovers were removed and they had wired the bass and tweeter wires directly up to the terminal plate. What i had to do was re glue the wires back onto the mylar. bought all new crossover components and soldered it up per their diagram. and got new tweeter moving covers as that was not included as well. These now work great and sound great. I was looking to keep these so i didnt bother with to much cleanup as you dont see the back but i have since got a different pair. The tweeter on the one speaker has 2 twists in it but it still sounds great. due to all of these the price is very low. This will be a local pickup only as i do not have the boxes and the crossover components from magnepan are large and stick out a bit. Please serious buyers only, please ask questions before bidding.
