From my private collection: This is one of the best-sounding cartridges I have kept for years. Lyra Kleos Moving Coil Phono Cartridge. This cartridge is in Like new condition, the sound is detailed, fast, and dynamic, stylus still sharp, cantilever and suspension is also in excellent condition. Only used for less than 50 hours and has been in storage for many years. Although many MC cartridges have good performance, their sound is held back by how they are designed. The problem is, the signal coils should have the same angle as the magnetic circuit during playback, but MC cartridges are typically designed so that the opposite happens - applying normal tracking force pushes the coils out of alignment. This impairs coil sensitivity and linearity, and reduces sound quality. Lyras New Angle technology solves this fundamental problem by compensating for how the signal coils are affected by vertical tracking forces, and optimally aligning the coils when it matters most - during playback. Introduced on our entry-level Delos, the New Angle technology enables the Delos to perform well above its pricepoint. But being audiophiles, we wanted to achieve the next higher level - which is the new Kleos. Up for auction is a Lyra Kleos Cartridge that I recently purchased used. The seller told me that it had 145 hours on it. I put about two hours on it and it sounded great! And then.......Yesterday morning, I was cleaning the turntable and STUPIDLY, not paying attention, I heard a snap. When I looked, I had snapped the cantilever off. My wife says to sell it as is because if I get it retipped, Il always be kicking myself for my, ahhh, *mistake*.......Shes right!This Cartridge will not play or work or do much of anything, until it is RETIPPED!!!!A new Lyra Kleos runs $3695.99. I have not checked to find out what Lyra, in Japan, charges for a rebuild.I did contact Steve at VAS Audio, who is considered excellent with these kinds of things.His email back to me, today, when I enquired said,Yea, I can fix that. I have 2 options for boron 1. Microridge for $450. This is similar to what I have on ebay. 2. PA Line Contact for $650. This is very close to what the Lyra stylus was. This would be a great opportunity to have a Lyra Kleos at a good price.This is the cartridge only, no stylus guard, mounting screws or original box.(Thats the way I received it).

I offer to one Lyra Kleos, where is fresh missing just only stylus… so the repair is very very easy, much better than with the catridges without cantilever. It belongs to my friend and he is willing to sell it incl. box etc (see pics). The pictured box of cleaning fluid is empty.
