The result is a staggering 700 watts per channel of dynamic power into 2 Ohms! But with more reasonable 4 Ohm speakers itll still output an impressive 250 watts per channel. Not only does the R-117 handle digital sources, but it crosses over into LP and analog territory exceptionally well. It handles both MM and MC phono cartridges. Even the tuner with a 5-gang varactor, dual gate MOSFET FM front end and automatic hi-blend circuitry is a joy to listen to. Many who have owned an R-117 wish they could have it back.
