This pair of Rogers LS5/9 monitor loudspeakers have killer sound. They’ve been at this multimillion dollar camp since their purchase and what I believe was 1993. Rarely played but excellent sound quality “massive”. One speaker has several added screws to its cabinet. I don’t know why, there’s no evidence of any problem. The speakers have rarely seen the light of day, so the cabinets are in good shape. These are extremely hard to find unless you want to be in the $5k-$7k range for new. They have no dust covers but yet were undercover for all these years. Hard to price but evidence points to them being well worth what I’m asking. $1,400 or best offer. Shipping may seem expensive but they’ll be shipped separately for optimum damage free delivery and they’re heavy at 27 pounds each.

Mfg is Swisstone Electronics, a business acquisition to continue the manufacture of the speaker line (history and nature of it is on the web) without altering design and quality. Cabinet dimensions: 18 x 8-3/16 x 8-13/16. Driver dimensions: 7-3/16 woofer; 4 tweeter and 1-3/4 port. One unit has a woofer defect. As seen in the photos the dust cap over the voice coil is missing. Also the cone (white-opaque portion) and the surround are no longer bonded by the adhesive. The other unit is good. I bought these 2nd hand years ago and tested the speakers prior to removing the grill and finding the adhesive problem. I used a decent quality power (Carvin) and pre amplifier (Phillips). Source was a CD. I listened at mid and high volume. I did not hear any cone rattling or distortion. Since the surround has not deteriorated and the cone is good you may be able to repair it. The cabinet finish is good overall. There are small scratches and discolorations as seen in the photos. Slight damage on one corner (photo). Another corner has a small bit of damage near it. As seen, unfortunately the former owner installed rubber bumpers on one side of each unit. One has 4 intact, the other has two. Some bumpers slipped aside what I assume is an adhesive pad. Theres no grill defects. This is a heavy shipment but will be well packed for a safe trip.

Cabinet dimensions: 18 x 8-3/16 x 8-13/16. Driver dimensions: 7-3/16 woofer; 4 tweeter and 1-3/4 port. One unit has a woofer defect. As seen in the photos the dust cap over the voice coil is missing. Also the cone (white-opaque portion) and the surround are no longer bonded by the adhesive. The other unit is good. I bought these 2nd hand years ago and tested the speakers prior to removing the grill and finding the adhesive problem. I used a decent quality power (Carvin) and pre amplifier (Phillips). Source was a CD. I listened at mid and high volume. I did not hear any cone rattling or distortion. Since the surround has not deteriorated and the cone is good you may be able to repair it. The cabinet finish is good overall. There are small scratches and discolorations as seen in the photos. Slight damage on one corner (photo). Another corner has a small bit of damage near it. As seen, unfortunately the former owner installed rubber bumpers on one side of each unit. One has 4 intact, the other has two. Some bumpers slipped aside what I assume is an adhesive pad. Theres no grill defects. This is a heavy shipment but will be well packed for a safe trip.

Up for your consideration as a really nice Panasonic DVD LS5DV. D audio video player. It is tested and working fine... There is adapter for a car included.I have not tested that and it does have a piece of tape on it.. The remote has a brand new battery infunctions perfect. Im actually surprised with the quality of video. And sound. This would make a awesome little backup system for camping or emergencies. Also, including a dvd.. Original instructions has not included.. Update. I tested the battery.
