This is a beautiful ex-demo pair of LS 5/9s manufactured in 2021. If you are looking for that classic British monitor sound, look no further. These speakers allow you to hear into recordings like no speaker Ive tried previous. The reviews speak for themselves. I recently decided to explore open baffle designs so unfortunately I cant afford to keep these. These come in the original boxes with all the accessories, including the original grills and speakers covers. These retail for $7500 in the US. If youre a fan of Harbeth or Spendor you owe it to yourself to try these speakers. In pristine like new condition. {{Speaker Stands are not included}} The BBC LS5/9The LS5/9 is a high quality studio monitor that was designed by BBC Research and Development and featured a brand new 8 inch bass/midrange drive unit that was developed entirely in-house and constructed using the best materials available at the time.Designed for use by the BBC in smaller studios and control rooms, the LS5/9 is a close sonic match for the larger LS5/8. These speakers really do sound fantastic and if I did not live in such a small apartment I would absolutely be keeping them but for various reasons I have to let them go.They are in excellent condition with no signs of any scuffs,marks or scratches and were never driven to very loud volumes.
