Amazing, amazing cartridge. Im the second owner. I dont know the hours, but I doubt there are very many. Since buying it in August, I put around 50 hours on it. The prior owner said he bought it new in 2015, played it for only a few hours and then packed it away. That makes sense to me because it looked new when I got it. Also, the stylus under my magnifier looks quite new. Anyway, if you like mono records from the 50s and 60s, this cart can be an absolute revelation. Its mono and the stylus has a .1 mil width so its intended for earlier mono records, like Jazz LPs from the 50s and 60s. However, groove width is unpredictable. In theory, I believe record companies went to narrower grooves with the advent of stereo, but in practice, many LPs were pressed with wider grooves through the 60s. Also, its an MC cart with an unusual output of 1.5mv, too low for MM inputs, high for most MC inputs. There are SUTs designed specifically for this mono cart with a DB boost of only about 12db. These are warm and musical sounding Bookshelf Speakers in excellent cosmetic condition. The build quality is excellent with heavy inert cabinets with aluminum plates on top and bottom. The soft-dome tweeter and fiber infused 6.5in woofer provide detailed and non fatiguing sound that provides a natural, full rich midrange and excellent deep bass that one can listen for hours. I have paired it with a denon pma-1600ne integrated and an smsl dac su-1 which pairs wonderfully with this speaker. Comes in original box and packaging. Will only ship within continental USA. Purchased from Buchardt Audio in November of 2022. These speakers are considered c stock and that is why they are priced the way they are. One speakers has the slightest chip out of the veneer above the waveguide. I tried to capture it in the picture. It was difficult because the light oak makes it impossible to see it unless you are right on top of the speaker. On the same speaker the woofer plastic ring has a light scratch. Again from the listening position you can’t see either. Awesome speakers at a great price. Included grills, original materials and shipping box.
