For sale is a very rare 12 / 30 cm field coil cinema speakers produced in the late 30s by Siemens. This speaker look nearly identical as the Klangfilm cinema speakers type KL42006. I compared these speakers with Klangfilm speakers type KL42006 and the sound is very similar. This Siemens speaker has seen better low frequency range as the KL42006 because the centring - phenolic suspension is installed in form a spider under the paper cone (membrane), and in this case the hub of the membrane is bigger as in the KL42006. The diameter of the basket is exactly 30 cm / 12. The DC resistance of the voice coil is about 12,9 Ohm, and impedance is 15 Ohm. The field coil DC resistance is about 795 Ohm. The voice coils move absolutely free on the core without any troubles. The speaker are in very good working condition according to the age. The paper cone is in very good technical and optical condition. The speaker sound absolutely clear with very good efficiency and with very good frequency response.
