Kenwood KC-206 Stereo Control Amplifier is a preamplifier with 7 band graphic equalizer, made in Japan, 1987. With remote control. This unit connects to a power amplifier. Has 7 inputs, including Phono, CD, Tuner, Video 1/Aux, Video 2, and 2 Tape Decks/Record & Play.The remote control is required to set the volume for optimum performance. The owners manual (available at hifiengine) states that for optimum performance, the volume knob on the unit should be set between 5 and 6; then use the remote to adjust to your preference. So a remote is not required for operation, but it IS REQUIRED for initial setup to ensure optimum performance. Fully tested, fully functional. Metal cabinet has some minor scuffs and wear as is common with vintage equipment. Includes OEM Kenwood remote RC-206. Remote has been IR tested, all buttons functional. Remote is missing back cover.
