This subwoofer works perfectly, but it has some cosmetic issues (dimples on the cones) that do not impact sound quality or functionality. Without these dimples (these would be like new). This unit was purchased refurbished from KEF. I suspect, that somehow the cones were impacted and KEF determined that this was a cosmetic issue and not worth their time to replace the cones – so they sold it to me as a refurb. The KC62 can move lots of air. It is really a powerful sub that you can feel. The 1000 watt on board power amp compensates for its compact size and drives the cone to infrasonic levels. The small form factor really gives you lots of options for room placement. The KC62 has the typical subwoofer interconnections as well as a port for the optional KW-1 wireless dongle (sold separately), which reduces cable clutter. The KC62 weighs about 35 lb., it is rather heavy for its small size. The KEF KC62 retails for $1499.
