Offered is a very nice hi fidelity Goodmans Axiom 150 Mk2 --10 inch speaker in a custom made veneered cabinet.Built for me in the 70s--the speaker is mounted high in the cabinet-the cabinet is built of 3/4 inch particle board--veneered and trimmed with bleached sycamore The cabinet is lined with 1 inch thick sound absorbing felt--the rear panel has a 9 x9 Acoustic Resistance Unit built in-and the cabinet is 36 inches tall by 16 inches deep.Despite its age the speaker (for domestic reasons (the family couldnt stand the bass response)) has only seen 20 to 30 hours of use,and as such is in near mint condition.Speaker responds to a 3 volt battery..Cannot separate.

For your consideration is a PAIR of vintage early 1960’s Goodmans of England Triaxiom 100c 12” triple-element loudspeakers. These are a very unique tri-axial design. Very nicely made using advanced materials for the time. These have a good amount of weight (roughly 7.5 pounds each) but are considerably lighter than the Tannoy or Altec speakers of the time. They are a shallower, more compact design and very easy to work with. 16 ohm rating making them perfect for use with tube amplification. Both speakers we just removed from the original stereo console they were installed in. Both have been tested and are working great! Very clean in appearance and sound. Buyer will need to get new plastic end knobs for the attenuation units. Please examine all of the photos for a good visual description. Feel free to ask any questions. GoodmansAxiom 201 Twin-Cone Speaker Permanent dynamic magnet, moving coil, 12.6” 15 Watts at 16 Ohms - 30 Watts USA Made in England c.1967 With Goodmans Brochure / set-up guide I am pleased to be able to offer this classic British speaker that has survived in an unused condition. It comes from the large collections of an elderly local man with a lifetime’s enthusiasm for radios and other sound-related classic equipment and now finally needs a new home, hopefully to be used at last after a lifetime in storage. The speaker is in a Goodmans box (not the correct label) with inner packaging and shows no signs of poor storage, damp or decay. There is no paint damage, blemishes, tarnish or corrosion and the cones are perfect. There may be a little dust but no heavy soiling. The label is bright and clear. The speaker is ready for installation and use, offers considered to find it a good home.
