Thanks for looking. *Update: *so reason turntable was not turning, a spring was off , and the brass part on the motor spindle that changed speeds came loose and it went down. So I connected spring and tightened brass part on motor spindle and great turntable is turning. So looks like everything is at least functioning., I don’t have speaker to test sound. Thanks But I believe will still need a tuneup.

I believe it may need a new idler wheel or need adjusting and possibly oil. When I turn it on the motor is running, and when I change speeds they change. I pushed the motor up from bottom with my hand and wheel starts turning, reason I believe will not take much work to get going properly, I just don’t have time or knowledge to work on these. This cartridge, is from the 1950s, and is in good condition, the stylus shows only minimal signs of wear, and the coil tests good. I have not test played the cartridge, but see no reason it should not function. As this cartridge is over 50 years old, it may merit rebuild, new suspension etc. Sold as is, but guaranteed to be as described. This cartridge originally was mounted in an RCA VICTOR headshell, and was intended for use with the 6HF-2 top of the line RCA HI-FI console,however is intended to be used with any Hi-Fi set , with phono pre amp with proper impedance for moving coil cartridges .
