Escients FireBall E2-300 lets you access your digital music library all through a single convenient source even if you have a good-sized CD collection. The FireBalls 300-gigabyte hard drive can hold many of your favorite songs. No more searching the shelves for a misplaced CD, or tying up your computers memory with thousands of tracks. With the E2-300s fast CD ripper, you can transfer a disc in less than five minutes. The server connects to the Internet via your home computer network to automatically download release information and album cover art. You can also quickly transfer music stored on your computers hard drive to the FireBall. This versatile music manager can control up to three compatible 400-disc changers, such as the Sony ES DVP-CX777ES, to expand your listening options. Escients intuitive on-screen menu lets you use your TV and the included remote to browse through all the tracks stored on the FireBalls hard drive or discs loaded in your connected CD changer. You can create custom playlists using any number of criteria, such as genre, artist, year of release and more. Or create mix discs to enjoy on the go using the E2-300s built-in CD burner. The FireBalls network connections give it remarkable flexibility. Listen to hundreds of free Internet radio stations available through Escients website. A built-in web interface lets you control the music server remotely from your PC or just use the included wireless keyboard to edit text information, control playback, or make other changes. When you sync your portable MP3 player with your computer, you can access songs stored on the E2-300s hard drive. The server connects directly to your home audio/video system, so you can listen through your best-sounding amplifier and speakers. And because you can store hundreds of discs worth of music in a lossless audio format known as FLAC, you dont have to sacrifice sound quality for convenient access. To enjoy playback in another room, just add a FireBall MP-150 music player. Or use another Escient FireBall server and increase your storage capacity in the process.
