EMT OFS 25 MONO cartridge (broken sapphire) OFS cartridge are designed so that users can change the stylus themselves with the help of a small replacement tool sold with the replacement stylus (unlike OFD which must be retyped at the factory) The OFS are initially intended to be equipped with a sapphire but can be retipped with a diamond and this becomes extremely cost effective. (diamond for OFS 25 to assemble yourself costs €195 at studiotechnik Dush, a retip of an OFD 25 emt is around €500) Otherwise a sapphire with the replacement tool costs €80 at studiotechnick Dush They are sometimes sold on Ebay and are not expensive. In general, a box of 5 sapphires costs around €130 with the small tool needed to change them.
